Susan Sarandon Bio
It was 1968. Democratic Convention and there was a casting call for a movie with many parts for young people who disrupted it. Joe (1970) was a candidate for auditions by Joe (1970) and Joe (1970) both recently graduated Catholic University students. Chris Sarandon, an actor who was trained for the role, was ostracized. His wife Susan received a big role.That part was played by Susan Compton, the daughter of an ad executive Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill kills Susan’s drug dealer boyfriend. Next, Joe (Peter Boyle) an obnoxious gangster who works on an assembly line, and also collects guns, befriends Susan. Five years later Sarandon is the director of the film. Janet is a transvestite who falls in love with Dr. Frank n Furter (1975). Sarandon stood up for Annie in Bull Durham (1988) more than 15 year after her debut. She flew at her own expense from Rome and Italy from Italy to Los Angeles. "It was a fantastic script... It did rid of a lot of myths, and challenged the American definition of success," she said. "I spent some time there with Kevin Costner, sex some actors in the studio, and then got back on the plane. Tim Robbins, her Bull Durham (1988), supporting actor, was her first love. He had two sons in 1992. This put Sarandon in an awkward position. She would leave her home to take on roles that were truly challenging. It was the result of four Academy Award nominations in 1990s and for best actress in Dead Man Walking (1995). Her first Academy Award nomination was for Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980).
